My mind wanders,
 Gazing at you longingly;

You are infinity and more,
 What a sight to behold!

The twinkle in the eyes of
       teenagers mad in new love
Countlessly compounded
       can't match your sparkle galore!

Oh! your depth, your poise,
 silently witnessing generations vanish
   all believing they are here to stay;

You watchful guardians
 From eons ago;
You are here this moment,
 But may not exist now!

You paradoxical beauty!!

I can watch you all night long...

Baahubali and the Mahabharata connection - 18 parallels

While I was watching Baahubali in the theater, I couldn’t help but observe certain subtle and some not so subtle references to the ancient Indian epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata, especially the Mahabharata. When we worked as a team!!

“Bunking” – The key word in every college student’s dictionary. The reason for bunking??Well, just being out of class is reason enough!!So, my friends and me decided to bunk. We left our department and starting walking the looooong distance towards the college entrance. On we marched, with the happiness that’s uniquely associated with our age. Trouble came to “ the unsuspecting “ us in the form of the imposing security guards. When they asked us the usual formality sake question of “ hostellites / day scholars ? ”, we confidently chorused day scholars. And then came the twist – we were simply told to return. Frustrated and shocked, we asked the reason and this somehow triggered the menacing guard and he started shouted at us. Not used to such treatment, we started arguing back but this did not get us anywhere.
