Writing as a form of expression is so powerful. To me, writing is a process of introspection, discovery, exploration and I am loving this experience. Here, I am sharing some of my works.
While I was watching Baahubali in the theater, I couldn’t help but observe certain subtle and some not so subtle references to the ancient Indian epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata, especially the Mahabharata. I loved the connection! Theme #1 Cousins’ rivalry – To start off, the underlying theme of the entire epic is the rivalry and discord between blood-related cousins; Pandavas and Kauravas in the Mahabharata, Baahubali and Bhallaladeva here. Adding a little more flavor to this is the fact that one side is the trigger and the other is forced to react, although given their way they would have loved to be in an amicable relationship. “Bunking” – The key word in every college student’s dictionary. The reason for bunking??Well, just being out of class is reason enough!!So, my friends and me decided to bunk. We left our department and starting walking the looooong distance towards the college entrance. On we marched, with the happiness that’s uniquely associated with our age. Trouble came to “ the unsuspecting “ us in the form of the imposing security guards. When they asked us the usual formality sake question of “ hostellites / day scholars ? ”, we confidently chorused day scholars. And then came the twist – we were simply told to return.
